Tim Cook

April 23, 2009

It is such a continued relief to hear Tim Cook speak just like Steve Jobs, time-and-time again.

Here’s one of his latest quotes: “‘Do I care about US market share? Of course I do, but I think cycles come and cycles go, and what we’re about is about making the best computers in the world, not making the most, and not getting to a point where we’re not building products we’re not proud of. If we do that over the long term, we’ll gain share.'”

Wow – only Tim Cook has the audacity to use a TRIPLE negative in the same thought! Keep doing that, and you won’t gain share – you’ll take over THE WORLD.

There’s some new story going around about millions of PCs being devastated by hackers. If this is true (if it really is *millions*) I think this is almost required blogging.

THANKS again for all your help finally getting into a Mac.

ALSO – isn’t it a striking coincidence that just after I expressed to you, after the last big Mac event showcasing the Iphone as the “do everything in the universe” machine, that the best thing about the event was that Steve Jobs WASN’T there and Apple rolled out a magnificent event… that it felt like a typically great Apple event regardless – and then a week or two later a story came out either in the WSJ or Businessweek or something – that Steve Jobs is still there doing everything?

Doesn’t that seem a little suspicious? Like the most important thing right then for the market manipulators was to be able to still talk about how Apple is unproven without Jobs? I have full confidence in this company. My recent experience with OmniGroup has only enhanced that. At this point, people working for, and with, Apple, think completely differently from the rest of the tech – and most of the service – world.

In response to your first comment:

Hee hee… you’re welcome! 🙂 It was a great pleasure switching you over to the Mac last night! I can’t wait to read your own blog posting (after you’ve played with the Mac for a few weeks) on your own experience in switching from Windows to Mac.

I decided not to write up a complete separate blog posting on the new hacker takeover of millions of PCs… I just added the link to the news story into the comments section of my one & only virus posting here:
    On Macs and Viruses

And here’s the link to the hacker article that I reference:
Millions of Windows PCs taken over by hackers, including UK and US gov’t machines; Macs unaffected

In response to your 2nd comment:

You are ABSOLUTELY UNEQUIVOCALLY CORRECT, SIR!! The market manipulators are absolutely at it again. But one by one, people are slowly waking up to the realizations that you have now experienced firsthand… meaning that hopefully these market manipulators will move elsewhere. And hopefully, one day, they will eventually cease to exist at all.
